wet suit recommendation

Hi Tom, well I use to hunt up till I moved to fla. I wear a Henderson and they stretch great I got the 3mm for that 62 - 72 and 58 it starts to get a little cold in their, in the colder water it would be nice to have a 5mm or 6mm if any of this helps. HH

gloves and boots are more important - heart is next
I wear a 7mm farmer john right now with a 3mm dive jacket on top
7mm gloves and boots
I have other configurations for colder water and warmer waters
i'll be using the above set up this weekend on the cape this weekend
if the warmer air temps heat things up - I will drop down to a thinner glove
I get tired before I get cold

Im in Fl....... but during the winter i wear a 7MM Henderson shortie that zips in the front. You cant beat a Henderson. What i like about the 7MM is water almost wicks off them so they dry super fast and DONT smell over time. They fit tight at the sleeves and legs and dont stretch out like some of the lower MM do.

I kept looking through thrift stores on the NC coast, but I couldn't find any that fit me.

Last time down there I found a scuba shop and tried several on before I found one that fit, and was comfortable.

I'm 5'-10" and 140 lbs, so why ever in this world would I think I needed an Extra Large? Well, I did. As is, I have to peel it off.

In my case, I needed to try one on before I bought it.

I wore long sleeve shorty yesterday in Buzzards Bay - and was warm
will put the farmer john to hit ocean side for PM low - ocean side of Cape waters will be colder than coves and bays
I have suits and configurations for all occasions

O'Neill is a quality wetsuit. 2/3 spring/fall - winter/5 mm. Always try them on no matter what brand.

After wearing the wet suit I picked up at the dive shop last year a few times, the last hunt - it took me a full 30 minutes to get the thing on.

I haven't gained any weight or girth - did the darned thing shrink? It's an XL 3mm Akona.

So, I jumped on ebay and ordered a no name 3mm XXL, and it sure is a whole lot easier to get on, yet snug in fit. And it was 1/3rd the price of the Akona.

And I also realize now that you need the right tool for the job - I shouldn't have given my Shorty to my cousin - so I'm thinking of another Shorty.

Save your self heart aches and try on suits at dive shops before buying. Don't buy online as there is no set sizes.

waters are pretty warm right now - ocean too
I will just wear bathing and a dive jacket now
