What 170-Year-Old Beer Uncovered From a Shipwreck Really Tasted Like...

I was going to say like vinegar.

Funny reminded me of something. In 1977, when I lived in Johnstown PA, we had a flood. One of the things I remember was photos showing the soda bottles at the Pepsi plant I think it was. They were still capped yet had muddy water inside them.

Not sure why they are trying to figure out the formula, this was 1850 AD, not 1850 BC. 170 years is nothing, and there are plenty of written records. The Germans and others have stuff for 1500 years...

They dont have records from the wreck?

Aside from that, looking at all of the flowers, etc, I suspect they found mead, not beer (hence the pollen from the honey)
