Well, if you like fire truck pics, here are some. Fire in a unit on the 3rd floor above me and I got rousted out of bed and put outdoors, but only for about 2 hours. Of course it started snowing while we were off the property. Everything's fine now, nobody hurt, amazing fast response by all Summit County and State agencies, but I suppose someone will be evicted and all the rest of us' rents will go up, haha!

Glad no one was hurt. Man that makes for an exciting day.

A rude awakening. Glad y'all are OK.

Hope tomorrow is a better day!

It's good to know your okay. Hope you didn't lose anything, but I am sure that some of your belongings smell of smoke?

That's not good. Wood don't fare so we'll on fire up in that high and dry mountain air. Happy to hear the emergency response was fast and effective. Glade to know no one was seriously affected and got out safe.
Give us an update on how it all started.

Glad all was well in the end! :icon_thumleft:

The gossip is, the two young guys in that unit fired up the gas grill on the balcony, went inside and fired up themselves and didn't notice a real fire had started. May be. The 'state of the art' fire suppression system (that's what they told me it was) kicked in and the sprinklers kept the fire from entering the apartment. There's no damage in our place and you can't even smell smoke. However, the top, middle, and bottom units on that side are pretty much unlivable now due to water damage.

Sounds like a cookout catastrophe.
