What about those zinc pennies?

I dig them because they are worth the same as a copper penny. I would say about 20% of them I dig are toast and they get tossed out but the other 80% get tumbled and turned in with the rest of the clad at the end of the year. Of course, I replace the ones that I throw out with pennies from my pocket change, as not to throw off my count for the year ::) ;D
 

I clean them and save them in an empty coffee can, then when the can is full I take it to one of those change machines and I pour them in. All but the worst get counted and added to the total, those that get rejected I simply toss out.
 

I save all my pennies too. In a glass mason jar. When it gets filled, I roll them and take them to the bank.
