...yes and this time it's the 'real deal'.
Back to Riverside today for a sunrise hunt, just two hours, before heading for Sunday worship.
My hunt three days prior yielded the modern VCP champagne lead seal, but today I think I got an "oldie". Check it out. Among the other finds is a brass snap fitting that's labeled "SNUG UNIVERSAL FITTING", possibly a man's cuff button. My last hole dug was an early 50's coin spill of a 1942 nickel and two wheats - 1944 and 1949S. This place continues to yield a diverse range of lost items.
P.S. Used a short-handled digging tool today from Taylor Metal Detectors. It'll take a little getting used to; up until today I've dug all plugs by hand with a 9-inch Western Bowie knife.
