Found hanging on a patio beam during a remodel. Appears to be rusty steel. Each one has a different pattern. 5"w 7" deep 9" tall. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1423688673.857863.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1423688705.389939.webp

I just wonder if they could be a pair of stirrups, somewhat like above?

My first thought was Stirrups too...But Those things look way to heavy to be on a horse and the top of it is unique to any stirrups Ive seen.

If they were some sort of poot peg or stirrup, I would thing they went to a train or a carriage or something of that nature

Cool find thou!

Spanish influence style also.

I'm no expert on Spanish history, but there was a lot of Arabian and Moroccan influence in Spain, way back in history, which is about my total knowledge on the subject.
I expect that Spanish riding was heavily influenced by that association, and of course Spain first captured Mexico etc.

These are 18th century Moroccan stirrups, and finally, here is a picture of a fancy Arabian saddle.

Looks to me like you have the first pair of that type of stirrup I've ever seen.

Wow thank you all very much. I never would have guesses but now I'm convinced. They're stirrups.
I too thought the corners would be to sharp for a horse.

perhaps sharp corners act as spurs?
