I'm sure nothing important, but just wanted to know what they might be. The pink rock with quartz veins, and the other rock with a stairstep of quartz?

#1 might be sandstone - check under magnification for "grains" of sand.
#2 Shale/sandstone? A sedimentary rock for sure. The quartz looks etched due to tectonic forces (deformation; fault- or shearzone?).
