What did I find

Found this coin while detecting in Rhode Island at a 250 year old home. It appears to have a capital T and capital X or L at 1:00. On reverse it has capital A then I at 3:00 oclock. It is the size of a half dollar. Color is copper. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Garypederson

Knocked on the door of the home built in 1790. Lady welcomed me in, showed me many antiques, then said “ the yards all yours”
