Found this coin while detecting in Rhode Island at a 250 year old home. It appears to have a capital T and capital X or L at 1:00. On reverse it has capital A then I at 3:00 oclock. It is the size of a half dollar. Color is copper. Any help appreciated. Thanks. Garypederson C5BED565-A3DB-4317-8161-6AF0A53C3AB0.jpeg C3E4FF21-8FF6-432C-AAAC-0D38D25C8E62.jpeg

You hit a home run with your response and photos. It is exactly what you suggested and the more I compare with your photos the more it all becomes evident. Thank you so much. Knocked on the door of the home built in 1790. Lady welcomed me in, showed me many antiques, then said “ the yards all yours”
