what do i do with whats left?

I ripped apart an old ac unit i had sitting around and got the aluminum pipes, wires and iron out. I'm left with a big capacitor, compressor and most of the moter that I tried to tear apart and failed. What can I do with these?? I've just been collecting and haven't been to a scrap yard yet so I don't know what they take. I was figuring on taking my first load of cans in and finding out what they accept but I haven't done that yet so I'm not sure what else to save. I'm looking for thoughts on what else to save, what needs to be done to it, and what might be the worth.

Anything metal can be recycled.
Best is to separate out everything the best you can. copper, types of copper, brass, aluminum, cans, steel, iron,
Some things you cant separate like motors every easily but most places buy them.
The more its sorted out the better it pays out. But is all depends on how much time you have too. Take in what you have and gather up some other things and reap the rewards

I say scrap what you can but I would junk the capaciator and motor. Good luck!
