I'm courious as to what makes such small stones your focus?
most of what is here wouldn't have survived since the crusades.
if it did any meaning would have been lost many hundreds of years ago.

need to go back and work on the signs you left behind.
there is stuff there that want's to be looked at.

Old Dog is correct in that there is a story to be deciphered at this site.

Picture one: Possible old spring (water) location in the part of ravine with most brush near center of photo. Several piles of rocks...are there more and do they make a pattern?

Picture two: Rock at lower left appears to have carved symbol. (crest, coat of arms, etc. denoting who was there?) Does it appear to have been broken apart from the rock to the right?

Picture three: The smaller,scattered rocks appear devoid of moss and could be a monument marker destroyed by a previous searcher.

Picture four: I would gently clean out vegetation and loose dirt from rock and the study.
