Just wandering…..apart from Elbow grease. What do you use to clean your finds?

For me just water and sometimes a washing detergent. I have found dislodging stubborn solidified dirt or clay can be moved by this.
I get a big mug and fill with just water. Then put it into the microwave, just the mug and water then hit it for around 4 minutes. Take care and wear glasses because when you drop in the coin, nugget or whatever it will go nuts boiling up and spitting when the cold item is dropped into it like a food item being dropped into boiling oil.
Iv been amazed with nuggets how it can soften stubborn hard clays and in some cases dissolve it.
Edit.....dont hold the cup/mug when doing it.
