Can you give a little more detail? How thick, type of metal and kind of place it was found? Maybe it's old snuff or pill bx

Looks like a cosmetics can at first glance..

It's about 3/8" thick, my detector says it's copper. Copper plating maybe? I found it buried in my back yard. Home built in 1860.
