What is it? how old is it. What type of metal is it?

What is this found it inside a civil war era confederate coat factory inside buried. And Sherman's troops burned down the factory. It has a little weight to it what type of metal is this how old is it is that the patina or dirt? Im guessing its melted. Could it be off of the building? Is it civil war period? Its kinda sharp of the edges. looks like a Indian metallic artifact lol. It is green. Seeing it green while cleaning it with a brush.
