What is it ? Laguna dig

Hey everyone, Got a doozy for ya'll. Not to be to technical, and to add to the fun, Here's the context: TAAA Dig in Laguna, Tx. This is on the western side of Uvalde County, and on the southeastern flank of the Balcones Escarpment. The watershed is the spring fed Nueces river which during wetter times had changed course a few times thru these now arid foothills.
The working depth is about 8 feet. The contents of the sift tables at that time had a lot of well crafted early to mid archaic flint Drills and awls, georgous castorvile points and blades mixed with a smattering of Uvalde and Angustura and Agate Basin points you'd trade granny for. I found this , a perfect Kerville axe and a super large flint Awl on the same screen. What is it? Thanks G.

hmmm...looks like one side of a pelvic bone of a smaller critter that was worked and utilized for something. Appears to have fire damage, maybe some kind of cooking utensil, like a spatula...jmo

Thirty7 You know you may be right. It sure is old though (at least 4500-6500) to be hanging around the neighbors it had. It's not mineralized or all flakey like bones that old get. It kind of looks and feels polished. When I picked it up my first thought was a prehistoric q-tip. Thanks guys, G.
