What is it? Something from 1910-1930's

Not real sure found it on a homestead and figured if all else fails it will make a awesome incense holder or paper weight (sorry for poor pics was the only place with decent lighting also I placed it on a cupholder for a idea of size.)

Well the homestead was a dugout with a barn and a horse stable. Its location is so far out that there is not even a gas station today within 3 hours of it. But it does look like it.

Not so sure about the fan base because there is not hole through the center, just a depressed dimple.

How about an inkwell cover. Inkwells were usually glass but may have had a cover to dress it up a bit. If so, quill would have been inserted into the angled tube. don't know, just a guess.
