Hello i found this metal detecting can anybody tell me how old it is.or if it even is old and what kind of hammer it is , id appreciate it thanks......

it is still a type of ball peen though,1960s-70s maybe

I have one in my tool chest that dad bought in the 1950's. Looks a lot like yours.

Yep ball peen hammer. They still make them.

It's an old welding mallet I would say mid 60's my father use to have one and had passed in down to me I still youse it today
