We used to call them pen secretaries depending were you were from. I see that there is a circular indentation between the two pen holders for an inkwell.

The top one would probably be a letter opener. The others are harder to tell without being able to handle them. Are they possibly containers for other office/desk related supplies?

On the left is probably a coaster for your coffee or adult beverage, the round thing was probably used to press down on blotting paper to keep the wet ink from smearing, and the tall thing, perhaps a candle holder. ??? I agree with the letter opener and ink well.
