What type of button is this? Is there a makers mark? HOW OLD IS IT ?

Quarter used for size reference.

Looks like a shirt button.
Most of these that have any makers mark, it would be on the front (right pic).
maybe a bit more cleaning will show something, but some don't have anything.
Looks 20th cent. best guess is date ranging what was found with it.

4 hole buttons were for shirts & underwear, most have no makers marks. (some do) 1890-1940 ish
