Does the hole go all the way through the piece? It could be a Tube Pipe of some type if the hole goes clear through.

The hole you can see starts wide and gets smaller at other end so yes it goes through. The material however is similar to conglomerate or sandstone.

Then the first piece could very well be a Tube Pipe.

The second piece may have been a Paint Cup used to mix Red Ochre and therefore the red tint inside the piece.

The last piece is a puzzle. It look like it has a drilled hole, but it's basically just a piece of weathered flint or chert. Maybe a crude Pendant of some sort?

I agree, looks like a killer! tube pipe especially if large bore on one end and smaller on the other and hard material to work for one! The could have been used as is but I think and read that reeds or hollowed cane/wood was put into the smaller end. You might see some additional smoothing where this possible reed went in. That is one rare, sweet find.

The reason some of us are saying "maybe paint-pot" is that there are natural rock bubbles or fossilized hollow mud bubbles like that sold by the pound at rockshops and you can find them yourself in areas of the country. They are sold by the name "Indian Paint Pots". Like some iron oxide or something hematitic bubbles, when you crack them open (they often break right in half), are generally the same size as yours. I have a few from a rock shop. You just have to prove it's been ground or worked inside. Yes I do think they used them at times as is but they had little pots and bowls, easier and larger to use and mix into. To me it's more like the source of the dye/ink/paint and not the actual dispensary of it. Grinding out the interior would yield powder just as good as ochre, etc. Paints, dyes and inks are often mixed with other things such as grease. Yours could also be more artifactual if found directly on a site and there aren't a lot of them around, like natural rocks. It doesn't look particularly any different to me from the ones I've seen at the rock shops.

The third item is just a natural hole in raw chert, possibly a fossiled worm hole. Points are found with holes in them, I bet someone will post a picture of one

Toms right about the flint with the hole in it. I have a couple of points where fossils have eroded out and left holes, but I don't have any pictures of them since they are crude nondescript points.

jazdo.. i have a "pipe" just like yours i found about 10 or more years ago in the huron river in erie county, ohio. its about 2 1/2" long. looks exactly like yours, but mine is black. if you stick the tip of your finger in either end it will come out ashy black. i've washed it many times, but to no avail. i once read on this site a few years ago, "before i got broadband", some girl was saying that it might be modern, and may have been part of a battery of some sort! i still refuse to believe this without further knowledge or input. i also showed it to gary fogleman about 5 or 6 years ago at an artifact show. all he said was, "yeah, thats nice". i had it in my pocket and was fiddling with it while walking around the show, and thats when i noticed the black ashy stain! any info from anybody would help! i dont have a pic, but i will eventually get one soon. gotta dig that thing out from the garage.

Than it's natural formed by the earth, like sand stone..

ok...i finally dug this out of the garage. it looks very similar (besides the color) to jazdo's "pipe", the first pic in this post. a personal find in the huron river at milan around 1998! it has a small hole at one end, and tapers to a large hole at other end! any input? brian

Does look very similar.. material looks to be dead on. Heres a couple better pictures of both ends.
