I found this while strolling on the beach. Can you help me identify it?

It's from a sea creature.

Maybe part of a horseshoe crab exoskeleton Just a guess.

I'm fairly certain it is coral.

Something for scale would be nice, but the indentations appear to be bite marks from a "trigger fish" known to eat coral.

Sorry about that! It is actually about 8 inches across and it is definately a bone.
