It appears to be a heavily worn, "T" countermarked 1797 George III "cartwheel" penny of Great Britain.

Easy there, Muddyknees! Just as a countermarked cartwheel penny, however worn, it's probably worth at least a few bucks.

BTW, it contains (less wear) a solid ounce of copper!
