I found this yesterday at a yard sale in a huge box of jewelry. It's pretty cool looking but I don't think it's silver. Is it worth anything? Or just a novelty? It is dated 1906.

At this point, it's just a novelty. If it hadn't been modified, it might have had some collector value depending on what it graded, but, now it's anybody's guess as to how much someone would pay for it.

That's really cool. How much did you pay?

I bought a large box of Jewelry at a yard sale. There was enough to fill a laundry basket and this was in it. I saw some that sold on eBay but I think they were real Coins this when I don't believe is a real silver coin.

It might be a genuine U.S. silver coin, and like Diver Down said, gold plated. What is the diameter? Any plating missing or worn off?

The front scared me a bit. I thought it was an actual gold 5-10$ piece...LOL.
Until I saw the notorious eagle that's on barber's on the back.
