it is non magnetic, weighs 6 grams, dimensions 1,1.3,1.5 cm, can scratch glass lightly, no streak, surface is smooth, found in tamilnadu india. what is this rock?

Actually copper penny can scratch this rock slightly and a iron nail can scratch it nicely and when it reacts with lemon juice very small bubbles can be seen but not vigorously and found in lime soil in tamilnadu

Whatever it is it is softer than glass, because copper does not scratch glass.

Yes, that is what I corrected here in the above quotes, at first I thought the rock can scratch glass but I was wrong.

it is a siliceous stone formed in a vein within a much larger basalt (or some other igneous rock) formation.
