Found next to that spoon from previous post. Def made from lead. Has the same look as a civil war bullet when it comes out of the ground. Any ideas?

My first thought was trench art. Looks like someone really talented carved a bullet.

AT Pro. Dug at 6-8". Yes I've found lots of CW era bullets from this area. Plenty of soldiers marched right through here. About 10 min from the battle of Spring Hill in Tennessee

Actually now I remember. My Pros batteries died so I pulled out my back up ace 250. That thing is a bullet magnet.

Isn't this a bit too large to be carved out of a bullet (asked the American CW ignorant european)?...

...thats why I said..."Trench art/Bullets"....the bullets could have been melted,or it could have been carved from stock/strip lead:thumbsup:

Aaaaah, all clear now... makes sense.
Very nice find and the anonymous fellow artist of those old days really had talent!

I also found an old piece of strip lead. Looked like i had the end shaved off. This area is rich with CW artifacts. Found a harmonica reed in the creek last week. One piece

That is amazing! What a great find. It makes me wonder who made it and what became of him.
