I have no idea but looks cool. Maybe a counter weight for a old pan balancing scale.

That is an odd one. :icon_scratch:

That definitely makes it a keeper:icon_thumright:

Looks like it could be an ancient coin of some kind ??

What comes to mind is a religious medallion written in Greek maybe?
Good mystery piece

That's a very interesting piece. I love a good mystery! Congrats.

What ever it is, it's pretty cool

That's quite a curiosity there. :icon_thumleft: Can't help on the ID tho.

I agree with ancient Jewish coin. I have seen them before. It is very possible to find coins 2k years old in the US. People a long time ago collected ancient coins and many were lost. I found a Byzantine coin from about ad600 from an old plantation site in South Carolina once.

any other info on this coin, like the age?

There are a lot to look through try and GOOGLE Judaea-Ancient Greek coins on the side bar the color code is bronze color and silver color that denotes the metal of coin so it narrows it down a little but I didn't see yours the age range it showed for coins from then was around 133 AD.Not a precise age just what came up.Going off of what Mackaydon thought it was.
