Looks to be made of brass as opposed to iron, date wise I'm thinking mid-19thc.
Maybe a broken lock key that's been re-purposed?

its either made of lead or pewter. approx 3 inches long and comes to a point

also should note the area it came out of was finding a lot of older spoons and knives and some pottery
