✅ SOLVED What is this ? Old strange shape silver ring ?

I dug this at about 8 " at an old house built in the late 1800's with my MXT PRo. It is marked 17 on the inside . It is bent some but the bottom is what has me confused. The two "protrusions" that stick out on each side. I polished a spot and it looks like silver , it is non magnetic. I don't have any acid to test it with. If its not a ring any idea what it is ? Its a poor photo the shiny part is silver color but hard to tell by photo.

Thats a brass finger loop for a candle holder.

Do you think it is silver plated brass ? Or were some solid silver ? Any idea on a rough date ?
It looks like silver where I polished the outside.

I took a file to it and you were right on its brass.
Seems to have a silver plating on it but once you cut through it theres no doubt its brass.
Oh well , for a short time I thought I had something.
