exactly what is it? can't tell from just this picture no size reference nothing, want us to just guess? looks like some sort of a buckle but then again it looks like it may of broken off something so maybe a guide of some sort and its my guess from that one picture have a nice day oh and welcome

I believe it's an early buckle, the link has many pages of buckles so maybe you'll see yours. Nice find BTW.

Yea, I think Pepperj is right GREAT LINK BTW.....I couldnt find a match on the link in the first 11 pages...but very similar ones throughout....Cool find!
