What is this?

I found this metal detecting on my property about 8 inches deep, I have only lived on my property for a year, and never saw this before so I did not drop it, it is heavy and thick, it looks like a decorative piece, any information at all would be Awesome!

No, it is a leg off an old wood burning stove. Sold many stoves in our antique store. Never going to forget putting it in wrong and having a HEAVY stove fall on my foot.

Agree it's not part of a leg, but I do think it's part of a wood stove.

I'm liking piece of a parlor stove - but a gas one rather than coal or wood. Would depend on how thick the piece is.
