What is this?

[Coloradohunter04]

I found this metal detecting on my property about 8 inches deep, I have only lived on my property for a year, and never saw this before so I did not drop it, it is heavy and thick, it looks like a decorative piece, any information at all would be Awesome!

It looks like it may be part of a leg off an old wood buying stove.

My dad thought it was off of a stove too.

It is wavy, like sheet metal, might be part of a stove.

I had one of those old stoves way back when. I thought I had the golden goose. Turned out it was using my CC.

No, it is a leg off an old wood burning stove. Sold many stoves in our antique store. Never going to forget putting it in wrong and having a HEAVY stove fall on my foot.

Agree it's not part of a leg, but I do think it's part of a wood stove.

It does look a lot like that, it would be cool to find the rest of it!

I'm liking piece of a parlor stove - but a gas one rather than coal or wood. Would depend on how thick the piece is.

Piece off of an old car running board?

Speaking of wood stoves, I just lit mine up for the first time this season. Getting too warm in here already
