Hi there! I found this rock while hiking near Salmon Arm BC Canada. I was hoping someone could tell me what it is as I have no idea!

At first glance, it looks like a cat's head, like an elongated Hello Kitty face. As for what kind of rock, I'm not sure, but it looks cool!

But seriously, BC has a lot of natural jade. Try searching for the areas that jade occurs.

I also thought it looks like a cats head!
I have not done a hardness test, I'll look in to that tomorrow as well as jade. Thanks for the replies!
