So, this was a gift to my brother from a good friend of his who visited a shop in Virginia. Supposedly from Nepal, from the Malla period. She said it's called a Saraswati, and from the year 1200. They had it locked behind glass. Supposedly She's a goddess for knowledge music and arts. It has dirt on it too. Not saying that means anything, but his friend made it known that it's definitely an artifact.

I'm just curious if anyone knows for sure what it is. I appreciate any insight. Also, my apologies if this is posted in the incorrect section.
