Reminds me of this one which when I look through the hole acts like a pinhole camera. I think it was a tool for enhancing vision.

it looks like to me in the first image, a thumb and fore finger holding a small metallic object which has a hole in it.

Its definitely not metalic, its a rock of some sort. Im not sure what it is. I thought maybe a pendent as well.

Probably not a pendant or a bead, my guess is a small fossil or a piece of softer material eroded out over time. Lots of rocks with holes out there, most of us have picked them up and hoped/wondered. The one that Fred250 posted is a great example of a perfectly natural rock. You can look at the hole and see if it's smoothed, or if it has drill marks in it.
