Great guess its hard for me to see it well is there a spot where a cable would have attached to it

I think it came off of an art deco ashtray. to me it is not leaning the right way for a hood ornament, it leans back instead of forward. I looked at a bunch of ornaments and ashtrays but haven't seen an exact match .
