Had to go to the satellite office today. Around lunch got a phone call, so stepped outside so as not to bother others. Mindlessly walking circles on the loading dock while on call, happened to glance over into a 2/3 filled 30 yarddumpster. Sitting on top of some boxes was a pile of sand/dirt/trash. In the middle of that pile I see something round and yellow, so reach over, expecting a fastener/washer/etc. nope….out comes a ring. Was covered in a lot of nasty, at first glance I assumed junk. Went to bathroom to wash it off and I see 585 stamped inside (I did not know what that meant). Quick google later I learn im the finder of a 11.4g 14k ring. What are the odds, can never find one with the detector, but pull one out of a 30 yd dumpster.
I told the site manager that if anyone had lost any “jewelry” to let me know. Front is very distinctive, and someone will have to describe it well to get it back. While I’m 100% certain no one from there is on this site, I’m going to not post pics of the face.
Made a slow day at work a bit more interesting.
