That's interesting. Silver and nickel don't usually register the same, and it doesn't look like either.

I don't know with one really Ithaca a real stong tone and my detector was on low trash setting

[JVA5th]

Maybe aluminum melted up. I could be completely wrong just hard to tell off that picture.

[DizzyDigger]

Preacher, with that pic it looks like a dog turd in a bowl..hard
to tell much about it.

Could you dry it off a take a few pics of both sides?

[Aeds151]

Wow. Ask a question and provide NO information about the item! Must be part of your brain that fell out.

[Tony in SC]

I see you're new here. Always give as much info as you can. The numbers that your machine gives you are usually right unless it is something odd! If that is covered with dirt it could be aluminum, if it is rust it could be iron? When in doubt always see if a magnet to it. Welcome to Tnet !

[smokeythecat]

I looked at this earlier but it looks like a big, brown clump of something. Not much to go on. Is it heavy or light, relatively speaking?

[Anduril]

Did you step in it?

[Mud Hut]

You guys sure are hard on a a first time poster..

Please, don't be rude to a brand new member..not everybody knows
how to present an item for an ID, especially a new member.

[dozer dan]

Looks like something that fell out of the south end of a northbound cat.

[Jon Stewart]

Did you find it near a camp fire or fire pit. It could be melted aluminum as mentioned.

Welcome to T-Net.

[devldog]

I was going to suggest that this may be a piece of the Squeakers (Nancy Pelosi's) brain matter.

[Rmeav8r]

I’ll say it again...getting to be a tough crowd! Must be cabin fever.

You guys sure are hard on a a first time poster..

I find these amorphous blobs all the time. They're really light and they always seem to have this pale crusty almost crystalline residue and your right they ring like a bell when you pass over them.
Id love to know what these are.

[blauer]

I got it! Ear wax!
