I have seen some posts about almost getting skunked, and I have seen some really great finds.

What is your best haul please?

Mine is today's 1st hunt of course 2 Franklins and 3 40%

What do you consider an average pull?

My finds today were approx 400 dollars.

Please base your answer on 500 or 1000 for average.
However interesting in best finds amount searched no matter what it was.

Thank you,

My best: See going back to the past post below. 104 keepers out of a $500 box.

Average: I like to shoot for 1 keeper out of every 5 rolls or 10 per box.

When hunting tellers change. All bets are off. could be all silver or more likely none.

I search boxes mostly, my best was 49 keepers out of 500 bucks.

I never mind reliving this....I cut and pasted this from one of my previous posts...

Does it count if it was in a bank? Stopped at a bank in a small town today and the teller had $760 in halves...I only had $260 so I bought $260 worth thinking I would come back if they were good. Saw a B of A down the street so went and got $500 in cash and went back and bought the rest...The first batch of $260 had 4 $20 rolls. The one shown below was the first to be opened...Out came 40 1964's! The next 2 $20 rolls were all 40% except three clad...Unbelievable! Had one more $20 roll...ALL 1964's! The rest of the $500 resulted in 120 90% and 220 40%...One roll of the 40's was a sealed roll that appeared to be like the ones I order from the bank. Found 1 Franklin in the lot also. Still waiting for that roll of Walkers...but this helps! Got to thinking...Who just collects halves? (besides us) Going back tomorrow to get as many dimes and quarters as I can! Whole rolls of Mercs and Barbers would be nice....HH

I've only done about 10 boxes and my best was five 40%-ers. I used do get better results in the casino, which I did $100 at a time. I recently found out I have competition in the employee vault which would explain why I've found none out of $500 this week.

Pennies and nickels have been my main focus for the summer. I'll try halves when I can get 'em but I discourage easily, even in the face of the good luck you folks are having.

It has been several years but the best I did was when I purchased a box (1000 coins) and approximately 550 - 600 were 40% silver. Strange part was none were 90%, but I was not complaining! Have never come close since. I am going to my kinfolks 150 miles away next week, and going to stop at every small town on the way and hit every bank. Will turn a 2 1/2 hour drive into probably 4 hours.

Thanks for the replies. OMG wow some of you really rocked it hard!!!
Yep I would be very proud to tell those stories again indeed.

Congratulations,

best was 31 out of one box. My average for keepers per box is 5.6. I hope this improves.

my best is 10 wheats just started
adverage a keeper in every rool(wheat or canadian)

lets see... first big hit was 71 silver out of $200. Next big hit was 3 full rolls of Walking Liberty halves out of 6 rolls, the other 3 had 5 40% Kennedy's. I have had a full roll of Mercury dimes, 2 rolls of silver war nickles, and a few full rolls of wheaties. I gotta tell ya.....nothing gets ones heart beating like opening a full roll of Walkers, except for opening two more right after the first one!!

I have only done 5 boxes in my life, and this last one takes the cake: 37 40% halves, with one of them a 1968-S proof with some very light circulation wear.
