✅ SOLVED What kind of coin is this?

My husband & I found this coin in a roll of half dollars. It weighs 8.2 grams. We are not sure what it is or what it's made of. Can anyone help?

We have no idea....This is how we found it.

I am certainly no expert on coins, but it looks to be a modern copy of a Spanish escudo gold coin. A real one in that period would be about 38mm and weigh about 27 grams. The weight gives it away. Boy to find a real one in a half dollar roll would really be something!

I did in on purpose too . Sounds dumb but I ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere at nite. I walked to a payphone but the only change I had was the silver reale I found. It worked. I made my call.
