Completely at a loss. It is a Starbucks cup of some kind. Googled every description I can think of and nada. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Essentially similar design to a Japanese Kyusu teapot, usually used with green tea. But that didn't help me find an example of this one.

I think you nailed it: I typed in Kyusu teapot in a google search and hit on "Kyusu: Teapots & Tea Sets | eBay" which took me to a page that had this item:
