What kind of gun is this from?

I will get some measurements ASAP I have just started metal detecting about 1 year ago I have a crap load of stuff I don't know the time period

...looking again,it is none of these,likely a rifle casing but measurments will decide for sure

I put it in photo shop, lightened it up and enlarged it, and can not see any obvious head stamp. cartridge case.webp
With the rotting of the brass at the front, my guess is it's an old black powder cartridge. It's been my experience that the salts in black powder eat up the brass.

I found this in a river about a foot deep on the edge

Rimmed centerfire. That narrows it down to about 100 possibilities without micrometer readings. .32-20 WIN to .405 WIN based on shape of lower remaining portion of partial case.
