What Kind of Metal Detector?

I have a 15 acre lot in Ohio and I want to start looking for treasure! I have a few questions.

What is a good brand of metal detector that is light weight and will find what I want to find. Also not too expensive. What features do I need to look for?

Where on the property should I look? It is a big ravine and creek...

There are a lot of choices depending on where you detect and what you want to find. A couple of entry level detectors to consider are the Fisher F2 or Garrett Ace 250. These are affordable and tell you what type of metal and what depth the target is.
