I had a great day out in the hills in Northern California. 2nd to last signal of the day gave up this beautiful 1822 reale. Try as I might I cannot find the exact coin online anywhere. One side says Hispania Rum Rex. The other side says Ferdin. VII Dei Gratia. I appreciate any help anyone can give me as well as a source online to positively identify this coin.

it is odd to find it too....i would think northern California would have a Mexico mint mark, especially given that at that time Mexico had been in revolution for years and the coins coming out of the mints were very poorly, even crudely struck.
