I have a feeling I'll encounter this snake again, but next time it won't be shot with the camera ;D

Snakes are fine as long as they stay the hell away from me. If they leave me alone I return the favor. I had a little garter snake the other day thinking he was a king cobra, he struck at my coil 4 or 5 times before he gave up and went the other direction. Another occasion I wished I had a video camera with me.

my doctor say's "no" and who am i to argue with a doctor?

im a nuisance wildlife trapper in the pacific n/w. people call me when they have these in their

yards or under their house and pose a threat to the family or pets.

on the up-side, i dont consider them to be near as dangerous as crawling under a house

trying to noose a raccoon.

Yeah, Those coons can be some mean SOB's when they're cornered. I did see a dog get the better of one once though... once.

yes, its head is shaped like a triangle. yes it has rattles.

its a northern pacific rattlesnake. they are up to 5' and range in color from

olive green and brown to gray or almost white.

if i remember right, this particular one had 10 segments on the tail plus the button.

Water snakes are non venomous but they have anti-coagulants in their saliva so you bleed profusely from their bites. That being said they are generally harmless!
