What kind rock?

This belongs to my friend and is not in my possession. About 2" diameter. I think it is a very unique rock that has been made into a pendant. We do not know what kind of rock it is. Can anyone help identify? Thank you!!

Its a chalcedony rose. Pretty well formed however it might be a bit rough against the skin. Neat that it displays druzy quartz crystals on one side.
