What kinds of things typically begin to fail in a 10 to 15 year old detector?

I am considering purchase of a 10 to 15 year old Whites DFX. What types of failures and repairs are most often required when a detector reaches this age? And what are the cost typically associated with keeping it tuned up in it optimum operating condition?
