my R2 came with a reducing adapter (male 1/4 female 1/8). The included cheapo headphones were 1/8 plug and the machine has 1/4 socket

They plug in at the end near the arm cuff if thats what you were asking, near where you put the batteries. The included cheapo headphones are worse than a Dollar store set, but the Makro 2.4G wireless headset is fantastic.
