What the heck is this?

I found this while hunting a field where i have found other artifacts. The hole has been worked from both ends. Any ideas as to its use. It fits the hand pefectly and u can hold your arm out and look through the hole.

Looks like a broken canoe-weight to me, drilled/carved through in 2 places

I've found pcs that were geofacts with holes through them like that....but the more i look at that hole it does kinda look drilled ....

I think it's natural, oddly enough agreeing w/ SOHIO again today.... The holes look like weak spots in the rock the dissolved out. It certainly could be an artifact, but from the picture alone if I had to pick a 'yes it is' or a 'no it isn't' I'd side with it not being an artifact. Just my two cents. It may have been used as a canoe anchor (?) but I think neither of the holes were created by man. OK, I guess that was my 3rd cent right there.

Ha ha that is a good one. I would tend to agree with the erosion concept if the hard stone wasnt chipped and worked from both ends of the hole. But what do i know, im pretty new at all this stuff.

It is most def. an oddity. Is it heavy? I'm not even going to try to dispute what the others say, but, the first pic looks like wear from a rope to me. However, right now I'm looking at a cloud that looks like PAC-man.
