What the heck is wrong with my luck?

Today i went to the beach and hid the dry sand.What the heck is wrong with my luckI found a anklet.It was GOLD SHINY,but when i read the mark,it was 14k.GP-SUCKS.So i hope tomorrow i will find something real.2 days so far 2 fake things.

Looks like some pretty neat finds. I've hunted beaches in the St Pete area and
didn't find anything.

I'll take clad anyday, rather than hunting all day long and all I got was
a bad case of sunburn.

I really like the gold chain and the heart. I would call that a good day anyday.

Got to have patience with this hobby! Any day out detecting is a good day, finding nice targets just make it better. Good luck next time, you might consider reading up on beach detecting. Do you happen to know the detecting laws in Bulgaria? I'm considering a detecting trip to one of the eastern countries sometime. HH, Mike

There's nothing wrong with your luck, bulg. We all have bad days, though I wouldn't consider your day particularly bad.

I've spent hours in the woods...only digging shotgun shell casings and an occasional beer can or two....but I keep going out there because I've had my good days too. You just don't see what I find on a bad day. It would put you right to sleep!

I've only hunted the beach one time, and my best finds were dug right in front of the lifeguard's stand.....in the water....at low tide. Keep on swinging the coil....your lucky day is comin'!

Don't worry about it too much, the once in a lifetime finds will happen, just feel fortunate that you are among people who understand and have the same love for digging holes and doing deep knee bends. Good luck to you and HH.

Nothing is wrong with your Luck. You got out, found some items, and enjoyed the fresh air. We all have had days when we didn't even find a coin. Now that's no luck at all. At least at the beach you found something yellow and GP could mean GOLD PLUM.

It's not all luck! It's the certain way you hold your mouth while detecting. I can't describe it or even show you how, but you have to tilt your head just a bit to the right and slightly part your lips, just so. Well, just in case you are left handed your head should tilt to the left instead of the right and.....see, I can't even describe it. You will know when you have it just right because you will usually find a gold or silver ring. Keep practicing and you will get it. Take a look at Donald Trump, he has it naturally, kinda' like puckering to kiss a ducks butt.....you know, where you have to first blow the feathers out of the way. Hope this helps, and although it sounds bizzare look how rich the Donald is. Don't practice on a real duck it's pretty gross. How do I know? Well,.....uh,......just take my word for it. Silly? Yes, but I have seen some equipment and methods here on this forum that is just as unlikely to help. I see you are fairly new to the forum so you need to know I am very seldom too serious about anything and my sense of humor is,....how you say......weird? Don't get discouraged, keep at it and you will soon be rewarded with many treasures. I hope someday I will too! :P Monty

I know the dissapointment,but thats more change than Iv,e found on any day this year.
About 10 years ago a friend and i were searching an old house in the middle of nowhere when I got a strong signal running over the porch floor.Thru the broken boards I could see a silver glimmer double handfuls of silver dollars or maybe halves ?.So after both of Us yelling and dancing around Like madmen we decided time to recover the Cache.
I braved the spiderwebs and snakes to bring out the"treasure";over 100 Sonic Drive in tokens,Expired of course!!
