I was thinking about doing something like this with my digger from lowes, let us know how it holds up

Nice. I did something similar with my lesche digger. I removed the red plastic handle , put some gorilla glue on an old wooden flagpole and shoved it into the digger. I then put a soft rubber handle on the end.It works great for cutting the plug without bending over.
